Volunteers

One of the Marathons in the Netherlands is organised by a big group of enthusiastic people. We have more than 1.500 volunteers who join the volunteers team of the ASML Marathon Eindhoven and play a crucial role in the delivery of the event. Start volunteer

You will guide participants to the start boxes and make sure the start goes smoothly.

Finish volunteer

We need people who hand out medals and give out drinks to runners who have completed the race.

Course volunteer

You guard part of the course to ensure the safety of participants and to inform local residents.

Customer Care volunteers

Customer Care looks after all runners who have questions about their entry, bib number or about the marathon course. As a Customer Care volunteer you support the race secretary and answer runners questions.

Drinks stations volunteers

Volunteers will help set up the drinks stations and distribute water to the thirsty runners. Cheering and enthusiasm is needed, and prepare to get wet! Please note, this is a long shift that requires you to be standing up.

Traffic controller

To guarantee the safety of the runners, the course must be kept free of traffic. Traffic controllers prevent vehicles entering the course. The minimum age is 18 years.

Keep in mind that:

The minimum age for volunteering at the Marathon Eindhoven is 13 years. When you come with a group, there are 6 youth members including 1 volunteer. For traffic controllers this is 16 years.
You always follow the instructions of your teamleader.
Volunteers do not receive any compensation for the invested time or travel costs.
After your registration we count on your commitment. If you are not present without cancellation, this will have consequences for the event.
You are not always able to see the whole event. A number of places do not offer a direct view of the event.
