Start numbers

On Sunday participants run with a start number with a time registration chip. If a participant has pre-registered his/her first name will be printed on the start number. Read the information carefully as it concerns information about your start number.

How to get your start number and ordered t-shirt

Receiving your bib number at home

At your registration you get the option to receive your bib number at home (additional fee of € 3,00 and only available for participants living in the Netherlands). The bib numbers will be sent to you at the beginning of October. 

Haven't received your start number?
It is possible that you receive your start number a few days later. If you still haven't received your start number on Friday October 9th please visit the helpdesk on Saturday October 10th (8 AM - 6 PM) or Sunday October 11th from 8 AM. Please note: it is not possible to send you a new start number by post.

Pick up start number

If you haven't opt 'Receiving your bib number at home' during your registration (only available for participants living in the Netherlands), you can pick up your start number on the dates and opening times below. The location will be published later.

Start numbers business & school teams

We invite the contact persons of the Business Runs and schools to pick up the start packages for their team(s). Check out the dates and opening times below. The location will be published later. To be clear, we would like to indicate that the starting packages must be collected per team and that the individual bib numbers must be distributed among participants by the coordinator.

Start waves

There are different start waves for the marathon and half marathon. The start waves are organised by your best- or expected time, as you stated on your registration before the 10th of September. From September 10th, all participants are automatically assigned to the last start wave. You will find your start wave on your bib number. Please note: it is not possible to change your start wave or start time. The start waves are indicated with colors. In which wave you have to start is color indicated on your start number. 


The Marathon Eindhoven powered by ASML is known for its fast and flat courses and enthusiastic supporters along the course. The fifty different music locations of the Marathon festival make a significant contribution to the renowned ‘cosy’ atmosphere in the city. The various courses run across the Markt, Catharinaplein, Stratumseind and Geldropseweg.

Travel advice

Sunday October 11thh

We advise participants and spectators to travel by public transport as much as possible. Eindhoven Central Station is easily accessible and is located near the various starting locations and the finish. Keep in mind that many roads are closed and that it will be busy in the city.

Public transport

Public transport
The Marathon Eindhoven takes place in the centre of Eindhoven, within walking distance of the train and bus stations. Check or to plan your trip by train or bus.

Travelling is very easy with your OV-chipkaart(smart card for public transport). If you don't yet have one, you can purchase a NS ticket in the form of an E-ticket. That is quick and easy, and means you don't have to queue at the ticket machine.

Due to the large scale of Marathon Eindhoven, several bus lines will not or will operate according another timetable. Please plan your trip in advance on

Bicycle parking

The best way to reach the city is by bicycle. Various bicycle parking facilities are accessible in the city. Below you will find an overview of all (free) bicycle parking facilities.

Free bicycle parking facilities:
  • 18 septemberplein from 11:00-23:30 hrs
  • Heuvel Galerie from 11:00-22:00 hrs
  • Stadhuisplein from 11:00-18:00 hrs
Paid bicycle parking facilities:
  • NS-Station zuidzijde (Stationsplein) from 6:30-01:25 hrs
  • NS-Station noordzijde (Neckerspoel) from 6:30-01:25 hrs

Road closures

We don't want to refuse to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closures on Sunday 10 October and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Accessibility hospital

Catharina Hospital:
Accessible via John F. Kennedylaan from the north and south. Then via Winston Churchillaan northern lane. Accessible via Boschdijk and 1e Lieven De Keylaan.
