Together with you we are looking forward to the 37th edition of the Marathon Eindhoven which has been scheduled to Saturday de 10th and Sunday the 11th of October. Maybe more than ever. However, due to the developments surrounding COVID-19 we live in uncertain times. We are all aware of the Dutch government-imposed ban on events until the 1st of September.
We understand all too well that this creates uncertainty and raises questions. Will the event take place? Is it safe to participate? What if the ban on events is extended? The Netherlands is preparing for a 1,5 meter society or, as Prime Minister Rutte calls it, 'the new normal'. Behind the scenes, we are busy looking for possibilities to meet the guidelines for the Marathon Eindhoven to continue in a safe and responsible manner.
It goes without saying that the health and safety of our participants, employees, spectators and others involved always comes first. We will continue to follow the advice of the government and will take the required measures. Our wish is to remove uncertainty and questions, but we need time to do so. As soon as there are developments which we can share with you, we will do so through our official channels. Keep an eye on them for updates and take good care of yourself and each other!
